Scholarships
The Taylor Thomas Education Scholarship, established by The Better Family Inc., is a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to young individuals pursuing higher education at a four-year accredited university or a trade school. Designed to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with higher education, the scholarship seeks to empower students to achieve their academic and professional goals. For the 2027-2028 academic year, we will be awarding $1,000 scholarships to Prince George’s County students who demonstrate a commitment to furthering their education.
Eligibility for the Taylor Thomas Education Scholarship is open to Prince George’s County students who are enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school. Applicants must submit proof of enrollment or acceptance in the form of an official transcript or acceptance letter.
